Thank you for your interest in submitting an article, success story, tip or writing activity to Writers' MEMO. Please go over our submission guidelines before sending any material.

so the use of clean language in your submission(s) is required.
What we publish
Writers' MEMO is a small paying market. Writers' MEMO accepts:
- articles on the art, craft and business of writing
- writing/publishing success stories (yours or someone else's)
- tips on writing, creativity and getting published
- writing exercises and activities
Articles should be between 400-500 words. We're interested in articles on how to break into specific markets, how to write for specific genres, and practical advice for beginning/aspiring/unpublished writers.
If you have a writing or publishing success story, we'd love to use it to inspire our readers. Whether it's your success story or someone else's, it must be between 250 and 350 words. If sending your success story, write it in the first POV. If sending another's success story, write it in the third POV, and if possible, include quotes from the person you're writing about.
If submitting tips, submit at least 7. Focus your tips around a specific topic (e.g., 7 tips on how to be a productive writer; 10 tips on where to get ideas for magazine articles; 10 tips for developing a plot). Your tips must be 250-300 words combined.
For writing exercises and activities, submit a minimum of 3 (75-100 words per activity or exercise).
Writers' MEMO does not accept reviews at this time.
Payment
Writers' MEMO pays $10 for original articles and $7 for success stories, batch of tips or writing exercises/activities. Payment is made on acceptance and through Paypal.
A writer has the option to forego payment in exchange for promotion/advertising in 3 issues of Writers' MEMO and our e-mail newsletter, Aspiring Authors, which has over 1,000 subscribers. He/she will also receive 2 complimentary copies of the Writers' MEMO issue where his/her article appears.
Payment for reprints or previously published articles, success stories, tips and writing exercises/activities is in copies of the newsletter.
How and where to submit
Writers' MEMO accepts submissions through e-mail only.
Type your submission in the body of your e-mail message. Send your submission as plain text. Include a 50-word bio. Proofread. Make sure your submission is error-free before hitting the send button.
E-mail your submissions to mail AT writersmemo.com (replace AT with the @ sign and delete the spaces). Put "Writers' MEMO Submission" on the subject line.
Response time is 3-7 days.
